King John's nursery, garden, cafe and shop, a place to be...

Hidden away down a sleepy country lane, a nursery, garden and café lie nestled within the oaks of the High Weald of East Sussex. The nursery was created out of two derelict 1950s chicken sheds and the owner’s passion for growing plants, but has evolved into an escape from the usual. An eclectic range of things to buy in the shop, a beautifully styled rustic café and a stunning garden make it a special place to visit and well worth the detour.

A delightful and deceptively large rustic café serving cakes and a great selection of fine teas and coffees. With a roaring fire to warm you up on winter days!

The shop offers an eclectic mix of garden tools, ornaments, vintage finds and great ideas for the home. With such a diverse range it’s worth popping in to see what words can’t describe!

The nursery grows a selection of perennial plants with care and expertise. Varieties are chosen because they are the most beautiful, the hardest to find or are the most exciting new introductions.
