The romantic eight-acre gardens of King John’s Lodge are as beautiful as they are tranquil, and have captured the hearts of many a garden writer, both in the UK and abroad.
King John's nursery, garden, cafe and shop, a place to be...
Hidden away down a sleepy country lane, a nursery, garden and café lie nestled within the oaks of the High Weald of East Sussex. The nursery was created out of two derelict 1950s chicken sheds and the owner’s passion for growing plants, but has evolved into an escape from the usual. An eclectic range of things to buy in the shop, a beautifully styled rustic café and a stunning garden make it a special place to visit and well worth the detour.
Farmers and makers market on 13th August
After the farmers market the cafe will be closed from Sunday14th until 27th August. Nursery, shop and garden open as usual
Nursery, cafe & garden open Thursday to Sunday 10-5pm
With a whole season of growing, events and cake ahead, what a life...
‘One of the most beautiful gardens I’ve seen in years and a wonderful tearoom – what more could you want?! Balm for the soul.’
