Tsus simense - between a rock and a hard place

Polystichum Tsus-simense

The Korean rock fern is a great, delicately featured, tufty fern that grows on the forest floor. Its easy to grow in damp but well drained soil in a shady spot and can put up with some dryness when established. Making it perfect for shady rockeries, it also only grows to around 45cm high. It's often been grown as a green house fern but is fully hardy and its pointed, glossy green fronds show up its darker scales and leaf bases perfectly.

For a dainty delight its a good reliable performer.
