The Nursery Barn

From fairs to training courses this space can be used for anything that relates to the nursery business. If there is an event you would like to put on just give us a bell.

At 12m by 18m, it’s a great size for any function. It has a translucent roof, allowing for abundant natural light, and is adjoined to the café, kitchen and two lavatories (one disabled).

Double-doors open out onto the paddock, which has been used for parking, drinks, tepees, bouncy castles, stalls and more. Across the paddock are the beautiful gardens.

Come and check it out!

Please get in touch for full details of what we can offer here at King John’s Nursery.

We use the nursery barn for many different events including vintage fairs, Christmas sales and all sorts of special events. Below is a fun video of the vintage fair we held here last October by the wonderful Marian of Vinehall Studios (thank you, Marian).

The romantic eight-acre gardens of King John’s Lodge are as beautiful as they are tranquil, and have captured the hearts of many a garden writer, both in the UK and abroad.

A delightful and deceptively large rustic café serving fresh, home-cooked lunches, cakes and a great selection of fine teas and coffees. With a roaring fire to warm you up on winter days!

The shop offers an eclectic mix of garden tools, ornaments, vintage finds and great ideas for the home. With such a diverse range it’s worth popping in to see what words can’t describe!

The nursery grows a selection of perennial plants with care and expertise. Varieties are chosen because they are the most beautiful, the hardest to find or are the most exciting new introductions.
